The South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) successfully hosted its Biennial General Meeting (BGM) on the 27th of July 2024. The event, covering the period from 2022 to 2024, was a platform for members, partners, and community stakeholders to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the past two years.
Key outcomes of the meeting included:
- A review of SDCEA’s environmental advocacy and community empowerment initiatives, highlighting successful campaigns against air pollution, industrial waste, and environmental justice.
- The election of new committee members for the next term, with a focus on strengthening leadership and expanding outreach efforts.
